Description: Today we are pleased to offer for sale a stunning pair of antique French wall sconces! This exquisite pair dates from the early 1900's, and is very finely crafted and detailed. The sconces are made of cast bronze (each weighs approx. 7lbs), with lavish gilt ormolu finish, which has acquired a rich and warm time-earned golden patina. The bronze is finely chased with intricate detailing. The sconces are done in the exuberant Louis XV Rococo style and feature three dramatically swirled arms with foliate detailing, supporting leafed bobeche and rocaille candlecups. Each backplate features swirled rocaille design with foliate overlays. The sconces are electrified and in working condition. The pair will add lavish old world French elegance to any fine interior. The set presents well and is in very good antique condition, with minor wear and patina commensurate with age and use. Each sconce has minor surface wear, minor tarnish/oxidation. The pair is electrified and in working condition. Please review all photos prior to purchase. Dimensions/ea: 22" in height (including light sockets), backplate is 16-3/4" in height, 13.5" in length, 9" in depth
