Description: A nice pair of blue and white porcelain plaques mounted in lamp bases. The bases are 1950s, but the plaques are older, probably in the Republic period. Each lamp has two plaques on both sides, that's 4 plaques total. The design on the one is a scholar with his attendant, and the other is a fisherman with a boy, the other . Plaque dimensions: 7 1/8" long, 4.75" wide. Lamp bases dimensions: 9" long, 7.5" high, 5" deep. No damages were noted. Plaque surfaces are covered with some kind of a clear coat, which turns yellow over the year and can be removed. Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
