Description: For offer, a pair of WW2 era 'Royal Corps of Signals' cap badges. The first is a bi-metal example, made from brass and white metal. Unfortunately, the slider is absent, and this most probably had the maker's name on it, but this is most likely to be a 'Gaunt' manufactured one. Some verdigris to the front of the badge which would clean off with a polish. Width: 1 1/8" (2.9cm)Height: 1 7/8" (4.7cm) The second of the pair is a solid copper-alloy version. This had two fixing 'prongs', with one now absent, the maker's mark is present for "J.R.Gaunt London". Nicely dark patina aged, which personally I very much prefer. Width: 1 1/8" (2.9cm)Height: 1 7/8" (4.7cm) Posted via 'Royal Mail'.
