Description: By way of explanation of Peter Prier? in my title...perhaps Utahs most important Luthier, Prier worked for Pearce Music Co (61-65) for about 5 years before opening the Peter Paul Prier school in 1965...this violin is dated (Pearce paper label)..1964. I cannot be sure that Prier personally made this violin but there is a good chance that he did ...the bow however, which is also marked Peace Music, is marked Germany. It and the violin remain excellent..violin needs a new set of strings. Looks like a minor repair was made to the base of violin (as pictured)
