Description: THIS LOT CONTAINS A SCARCE 1944 FIRST DAY COVER (FDC) FROM THE PHILIPPINES, SCOTT #493, 495-496, E10a, IN VERY FINE CONDITION. Kindly refer to the photos, front and back, to view this first day cover. It contains eight (8) stamps. four (4) that were issued on May 1, 1944 -- the high values (30c, 10p & 20p values), and the Special Delivery, E10a. Kindly also note that the E10a is the close "IC" variety which does not show a FDC catalog value -- the E10 FDC is priced at $10.00, the "a" values show a 5x multiplier, hence the E10a FDC is estimated at $50.00 ++. This unusual FDC is clean in all respects, has two hinge marks on the back, and is in very fine condition. The 2020 Scott U.S. Specialized catalog value for the 30c, 10p and 20p values is $47.50 as single stamps on FDC (worth more as a combination), the E10a variety FDC is estimated at $50.00++ -- overall, as a combination FDC with the close "IC" variety our estimate is $125.00++.
