The buttons on the player are completely function and work for chapter skip, pausing, fast forward and rewind. What DOES NOT WORK/NEEDS REPAIR is the laserdisc auto flip function. The machine does do an auto flip to side 2, but when it reads side 2 it is all blurry. I do not know how to repair this issue- maybe new belt, maybe open up the machine. Not my area of expertise and I do not want to. (See last photo, this is what happens when it goes to side 2 using auto flip) It works perfectly fine as a regular machine that you manually flip the disc when complete with 1 side. Without remote I couldn’t get past the DVD menu. Sold AS IS! It’s a great machine, looks great, and functions first try.
