Description: Pre 1975 Vintage Willard Imported Briar Estate Tobacco Smoking Pipe, Yellow Dot. This vintage Willard Imported Briar estate pipe was manufactured in Sparta NC. It measures 5.5" x 1.25" Good condition, nice briar and nice bowl carving, minor surface scuffs as expected with use. The stem has a yellow dot. The stem unscrews as it should. The mouthpiece does have some bite marks on top and bottom It has a tight fitting stem that unscrews very smoothly. There are small marks at the mouthpiece. Willard pipes were made by Sparta Industries in Sparta, N.C. from 1963 to 1975. Some were distributed by the Post and Base Exchanges that serviced the military during the Vietnam War. Others were produced for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco. Item P1 Location 33
