Description: While I don't claim to be an expert on these things, from my research I believe to be a prehistoric Mesa Verde style mug, which probably dates to around as 1200 AD. I purchased it over thirty years ago from an antique shop in Western Maine. There are no cracks or repairs of any kind, and it was clearly well used in daily life. There is some wear on the rim as if used by a right-handed person to dip from something. There is still what looks to be food residue in the bottom of the vessel. I have no doubt about its authenticity. I always loved that it showed its history. It measures roughly 5 inches tall and is about 6 inches in diameter.
