RARE: 1995 GRATEFUL DEAD SPRING TOUR / ALTON KELLEY

Description: Rare and highly unique Blue Variant of the ever popular Alton Kelley / Grateful Dead 1995 Spring Tour poster. This is a proof that includes the poster itself and three postcards on a single sheet. This was created for a series of shows in Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland and Mountain View, CA spanning May and June 1995. The Blue Variant is unusual and collectible in that the printer swapped the positioning of the three postcards from the left side used in the final four color proof that was sold by Grateful Dead Merchandising, to the right side for this variant. Yet, the lettering is not reversed. The back side of the poster is printed with Red only. This color makes up the flames on the final four color poster that everyone knows. NOTE: Main photo in this listing updated 11/10/24. The photo in my original listing had a shadow over the lower right portion of the poster that may have appeared as slight discoloration. The updated photo has no shadow and properly represents the brilliance of the white paper stock. I can only find this item listed on one other poster website and it sells for $750. Poster will be shipped in a sturdy tube.
