Description: My living Estate Sale continues with a wonderful and rare historic 4-record set released by Panacoustic U. S. Recording Company as album A-100 with sides numbered 9478 - 9485. This set is titled "THOSE HISTORIC YEARS" (A Recorded History of World War II) All sides of vinyl and labels are in wonderful condition and the only real condition issue is a needed repair to the heavy outer case spine. THe 1st record is Franklin Roosevelt addressing Congress regarding the attack on Pearl Harbor and the declaration of war. Record 2 is a descriptive account of D-Day, Roosevelts Prayer for success and Eisenhower's BBC address to our services and Western Europe. Record 3 involves V-E Day with Truman's Proclamation of victory, as well as similar from King George VI and Winston Churchill. Record 4 features the surrender of Japan with recordings from the government of Japan, Clement Attlee, Gen Douglas MacArthur and president Harry Truman. The records are stated as being made of Vinylite Plastic. Panacoustic records are quite rare and some of their rare recording and amplification equipment also bring premium prices. I cannot say how many record albums they even released as they are hard to come across. The combination of U S History paired with vintage music industry history is a wonderful combination to assure value through the coming years. As always, free shipping, a donation to charity and the "Best Offer" format for all fair buyer considerations.
