Description: For additional photos, please visit us online at midwestsax.com! We have for sale an original lacquer, American engraved Selmer Mark VI Tenor sax sn 96xxx with matching original neck. This is the same vintage as Chris Potter’s tenor, and they are generally highly desirable for their focus and power. The horn still retains an estimate 70-80% of its original lacquer and shows typical signs of good, honest wear and tear that one would expect for a vintage sax such a few small dents and dings here and there, some lacquer wear, scratches, perhaps a small solder repair around the receiver clamp, and some discoloration/patina/etc.... It does not appear to have suffered from any major damage or trauma. The neck is in excellent condition and does not show evidence of past pulldown or significant damage (which is very rare on a vintage Selmer tenor). It's currently playing top to bottom on a mix of pads, but as is the case with most vintage horns, we'd recommend a visit to your favorite tech to get the horn up to speed for your preferences, and ideally, a fresh overhaul would get the most out of it. Please review the photos for details of the overall condition, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need additional photos. US shipping and sales only.
