Description: Play or display! Here is a very nice vintage 2-PW set of 1972 Spalding Executive MV2 Bird on Ball forged muscleback blade irons, with Spalding Professional Aluminum shafts in stiff flex, and newer playable tour wrap grips (the PW has a tour seamless grip). I believe lofts, lies and lengths are standard for the vintage, with the 5-iron measuring just under 37.5 inches. It is very difficult to find sets like this, with matching registration numbers on the 2-9 (back then the PW was sold separately), intact ferrules, and overall very good condition. There is a minor amount of bag rub on the shafts, light bag chatter that is common with forged irons, and a few small rock nicks on the 5, 9 and PW, none of which would affect play if you were so inclined to stick these in your bag. These irons show the great craftsmanship of the golden age of forged blades, including knurled hosels, multicolor ferrules with registration numbers, and the famous Bird on Ball stamping on the curved muscleback.
