Description: Some collectors call this a "punch cup," but it is listed in the USL silver inventory as a "soup cup." The catalogue shows it with an optional lid (that was sold to the USL as a separate item), but I have never seen a photo of this being used in service so I don't know if the USL used the lid or not. Either way, not at all common. It measures about 3" tall and 5" handle to rim. Made for the United States Lines in 1952 and dating to the maiden voyage of the ss United States.
