Putnam's Sons; New York. 1961. 408 pp. First edition in green cloth with gilt stamped spine and top edge stained green. First Edition, First Printing with code C22 on page 408. Jacket design by Ben Feder. Winner of the 1962 Hugo Award for best novel. Book has very faint cover stain (from coffee I think) front and back, small coffee stain on green top edge and bottom, and coffee stain on p 390-391. Very light shelf wear along top edge. Very minor bumping top of spine. There is no bookplate, no owners name, no markings other than booksellers pencil. The interior is unmarked with clean white pages except as described below. Book was stored between other books in the dark in a Mylar protective cover for 3 decades, so has no leaning or bends. First state VG jacket is un-clipped, protected and has "0761" code. The jacket has rubbing, wear and mild chipping to extremities and folds, minor soiling from earlier protective cover. More photos are available. $1900
