Description: SUPER 1/4 PLATE THERMOPLASTIC / GUTTA PERCHA CASE TITLED "THE DANCE" WITH MAT & PRESERVER - Here is a excellent condition thermoplastic case known as, "The Dance #1" and listed as rare in Berg's bible on 19th Century photo cases. The housing is ready to accept your tintype, ambrotype or daguerreotype of your choice and includes an oval mat, with preserver and cover glass. Good luck to my winner. CONDITION: Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. The quarter plate ambrotype case is in excellent conditon with tight hinges, the working latch system and a nice velvet pillow. The only flaw I can find is a tiny chip at one corner, otherwise a great quart plate housing for a photo in your collection. I will ship this item by Priority Mail.
