The Story The Waterman Preface has found its place into our neo classic fountain pen collection, the silver plated editions were produced in the early 2000's in a fairly short production run and have become increasingly collectable The cap and barrel are solid brass, with silver 'Godron' pinstripe patterns, accented by gold trim. This gives the pen a weighty feel in the hand for what is a relatively slim and very elegant pen. The nib is a solid 18k gold nib, it writes very well, Engraved nib with Waterman logo "18K-750", it writes a smooth medium line, this is a very consistent writer, no hard starts or skips, simply a smooth nib with good ink flow. Do check out the writing sample in the photo gallery. In the upper part of the body, it incorporates a black lacquer round on a gold plated base. Clip closure.
