Description: This lovely luncheon plate was made for The Greenbrier Hotel in 1963 by The Mayer China Company of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It measures 9 1/4" diameter and weighs 1 lb 10 oz. The iconic Dorothy Draper design features the pink Rhododendron, West Virginia's state flower, surrounded by a wide spring green band. In excellent condition, the design is crisp, the colors are bright, and the glaze is shiny with no utensil scratches. There are a couple of pinpoint dark spots on the front along with the typical stilt marks on the reverse. These are seen in photos. Zoom in on photos for better detail and measurements.
