Description: This item is in decent vintage condition. Tintype of a pretty young lady in a day dress of possibly a striped challis. This type of day dress was worn in the 1830s and 1840s, with extra detail in the ruffling across the bodice and upper mid arm of the sleeve, gathered at the wrist. Her hair is worn with a center part typical of this era. She would have had to stand very still for the camera, but she is almost smiling! Good focus.
