VARNEY HO BALTIMORE & OHIO F3 A-B-A PWR/DMY/DMY CLEAN INTACT POWERED UNIT RUNS!

Description: This is a vintage VARNEY Baltimore and Ohio B&O A-B-A SET OF EMD F3 Diesel Units. Review photos. This three unit set consists of a # 220 Powered A Unit, a # 500 Dummy B Unit and a # 220 Dummy A Unit. The powered unit was tested and it ran well when current was applied in forward and reverse. The headlight illuminated. The ornamental plastic horns are present on the 220 A units. All steps are present on all units. All couplers are present. The front coupler on the powered 220 has the plastic extension which drops down from the Rapido style coupler missing but it still appears functional On display these units have nice overall paint retention, lettering and striping. On close inspection there are some rub marks and some scratches here and there on the units. The diecast metal frame on the powered 220 has some paint wear on simulated fuel tank areas. On close inspection I see a scratch in the back gray panel of the powered 220 near the roof line and have shown it in a photo. Overall the roofs all appear clean for used units of this era but have a few hard to see marks. There is a hairline scratch at one end of the dummy B roof best observed when tilting the roof under a light source. The B unit roof has some other minor light scratches at the other end of the rook some other which are again best viewed by tilting the roof under alight. The underframes of these three units are surprisingly clean for used HO Disels of this vintage. This is one of the best looking VARNEY B&O ABA sets I have seen. It is not new but certainly looks impressive on display and will enhance a vintage HO collection or a B&O enthusiast's shelf. Very Carefully packed shipping will be $13.95.
