Description: Vintage 1930s 1940s Novelty Print Silk Rayon Butterfly Dog Dress Lattice Waist. Here we have a vintage late 1930s early 1940s novelty printed silk rayon dress. The colorful print is of butterflies, dogs, flowers, leaves and geometric shapes on a white background. The bust of the dress is bias cut while the skirt is straight with a slight flair. The mid section features a lattice peplum made from the same corded fabric of the dress. There is a left side seam metal zipper. This piece is in fair antique condition. There is a tear a little smaller than a quarter on the right shoulder. There is a rust colored stain on the right shoulder. Some of the colors of the print have begun to run.
