Description: Massive collection / lot of vintage Hawaiian tiki pin up style dresses, 2 piece sets, kaftans and even a vintage Hawaiian grass skirt ranging from the 1950’s through 1970’s. 22 pieces total counting the sets as 1 piece. This collection honestly took me well over a decade to build. Sizes vary from what I would consider size XS up to large. Below is a comprehensive list of the entire collection in order of the pictures and notes of any flaws I came across while photographing and steaming however, I can’t be sure I caught everything. This collection is in great vintage condition in my opinion considering the piece’s age although a few of them could use a little TLC. Most of these pieces I only wore once or twice and others not at all. I do believe they could all benefit from a proper cleaning as this collection has sat in my closet untouched for years. With all that being said, these are vintage pieces and are sold “as is” and no refunds or returns will be accepted. Thanks! “Paradise Hawaii” maroon and cream sarong style dress with matching bolero jacket. 26” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size medium. The only thing I see is the elastic has stretched out a bit and could use a reworking. “Kamehameka” blue and orange sarong style maxi dress with 3D flowers. 25” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size small. Elastic is slightly stretched, a few snags that are barely noticeable in my opinion in the front and back, also needs a cleaning along the front bottom. Red and brown sarong style dress. No maker’s tag however there is a tag inside that reads “style 743 size 10” 25” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size small. Tiny snags on front and back, barely noticeable. “Waltah Clarke’s Hawaiian Shop” olive green and aqua blue sarong style dress. 22” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size XS. Has a few snags on front and back and the zipper on this dress either needs to be replaced or a couple of the teeth need to be tacked back into place. Please refer to the pictures. Blues and pinks sarong style dress. No maker’s tag, possibly hand made or perhaps repaired in the past, I can’t be certain. 23” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size XS. Looks like the interfacing was taken out on the top inside of the dress. Greens and pinks sarong style dress. This I would say is definitely hand made. 26” waist no stretch. “Hilo Hattie” pineapple print with crystals circle skirt dress. Marked size 6 has a 26” waist. I would call this a size small. The elastic is stretched out a bit and the crystals are not original to the dress but they look great. Who doesn’t love a little razzle dazzle anyways? “Daffy California” waterfall and sailboats print dress. Marked size medium with between 26 and 27” waist no stretch. “Nani of Hawaii” red with and blue dress. Marked size 8 with a 25” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size small. “Hilo Hattie” blue and white dress. Marked size 8 with a 22” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size xs-small. This dress is new dead stock and still has its original tag. There’s a spot in the built in bra and a little dirty in the front. “De Weese Design” pinks and orange dress. 27” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size medium. This dress has pockets! The elastic is a little stretched. “De Weese Design” blue green and purple maxi dress. Marked size 12 with a 28” waist un-stretched. I would call this a medium/ large. The elastic is a bit stretched and the built in bra has deteriorated on the inside for lack of a better word. I intended on opening the seams and taking out the hard bits but never got around to it. Should be a fairly simple fix. “Maluna Hawaii” bright orange maxi dress. 27 to 28” waist un-stretched. I would call this a size medium to large. Obvious alterations to the top only visible from the inside. “Shaheen” yellow daisy tube dress. Marked size 10 34” across un-stretched. I’ve never seen another one like it. Few snags front and back and slight pilling, nothing terribly noticeable in my opinion. Elastic on the top still has some stretch but could also be replaced. *These next few items some might wonder why they are included in this collection but if you have ever been to Tiki Oasis or Viva Las Vegas you wouldn’t question it. Green psychedelic floral kaftan. No maker’s tag. Missing half of the top clasp. Few runs front and back which are barely noticeable, hard to even get them to show up on the pictures but please refer to them. The elastic on the inside still has some stretch but could be replaced. “Jebbi California” neon paisley print kaftan robe. Seems on the underarms coming undone and the hem is coming loose around the bottom. Neon Aztecs print kaftan robe. No makers tags, possibly hand made. Few runs in fabric front and back, nothing too noticeable in my opinion. Green psychedelic print crop top and pleated pant set. No maker’s tag but there is a tag in the pants that reads “100% polyester made in London”. 24” across the top of the pants and 26” across the bottom of the top. I would call this a size xs. Gold brass buttons and beaded neckline. This set is awesome. Pink floral crop top pant set. No makers tag but there is a tag that reads “size 10”. 26” across the top of the pants and 27” across the bottom of the top. I would call this a size small. Few snags and minor pilling. Purple and green hater crop top. New dead stock. No maker’s tag but there is a tag that reads “one size fits all” this top is 15” across the bottom in the front with 21” straps on either side. “Coted D’azo” white and purple bullet bra style bikini top. 100% cotton. Marked size 30. I wear a 34 DD and this fit me but is adjustable and could accommodate a smaller chest. No bottoms. Genuine 1950’s Hawaiian grass skirt. This skirt might even be older than that, the person I bought it from said his father had it in his garage for years before it was passed on to him and that it may have actually come from his grandfather. It has some damage and is extremely fragile. This skirt is a real piece of Hawaiian history. The coconut bra is newer.
