Description: These sterling silver earrings were made by Sandy Baker, a black business woman and contemporary jewelry designer who made a name for herself in the 1980s and is still widely popular today. These earrings showcase an abstract modernist look that was popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They each measure approximately 1 1/4 inch long and 1 1/8 inch wide. The pair weighs 10 grams. Both are marked “925” and signed “SYB” (as shown in the photos, though the marks are difficult to see). These earrings are in very good used condition. They have some tarnishing that can likely be removed easily with a light polishing or cleaning; I have not polished or cleaned them.
