Description: VINTAGE 'ANTIKO 100' HILDESHEIMER ROSE CAKE SLICE DATE: Late 1950s/60's ORIGIN: PFORZHEIM, GERMANY. This is a silver plated cake slice made by Kohlbecker Silberwarenfabrik in Germany in the Late1950's/1960's. The ornate design is that of Hildersheimer Rose as applied on the handle. In excellent condition and well marked to the reverse of the handle 'ANTIKO' has been in use since 1959. It is formed from the words 'ANTIque' and 'KOhlbecker'. Heinz Kohlbecker established his business, Kohlbecker Silberwarenfabrik, at Pforzheim in 1946. Dimensions: Total Length - 19.0 cm. (7.5 inch.). Length of slice - 10.0 cm. (3.9 inch.). Max. Width of slice - 5.3 cm. (2.1 inch.). Weight: 46.9 grams. Marks: Stamped to the reverse of the handle ' ARTIKO 100 '. The mark ARTIKO is explained in the description. Simplistically the '100' refers to the item being made of silver plate and the thickness of the silver plating used. Condition: Excellent Apart from a few light surface scratches there is no damage and no repairs or restoration.
