Vintage BMW Chrome Locking Fuel Cap 1967-1976 2002 16 111 103 603 Gas Car NOS?

Description: Up for auction is a BMW chrome locking fuel cap, has part number 16 111 103 603, also has 2002 Ti Tii on it. I’m not sure if the cap matches the box or not, I’m also unsure of all the years and models this is correct for, some research shows 1968-1976? Not sure so please do your research if needed before you bid. This is in real nice shape, almost looks like it could be NOS? Does NOT have dents, there are some very light scratches but would polish up better if desired. The back side looks new, gasket even looks new? Maybe it was used for a very short time and replaced with something different? Im not sure, that why I marked it as used. There is NO KEY with this! Unfortunately the key is missing, I’m sure a locksmith could make a new key, or maybe you can still buy one that works?
