Description: Vintage Coverlet, Lebanon, PA., Wm. Nye, Cream & Red, Jacquard, Mid 1800's This is an antique Pennsylvania coverlet, continuously owned by one family originating from the Lancaster area. This vintage coverlet is in very good condition with no holes, wear or yarn pulls. The coverlet was woven as one solid piece. There is a small stain as noted in the picture. No attempt has been made to remove it. It will likely be removed with a cleaning. This coverlet is a deep red color with the lighter contrast of buttery ecru. The colors are vibrant. The coverlet is reversible in a jacquard design allowing the weaver to the create complex patterns shown on the face and reverse. It measures 86" x 84" not including the fringe, which is on three sides. The fringe is complete and none is missing. Note the weaver’s name along one edge: “Made by Wm. Nye, Myerstown PA”. Nye was a noted weaver of quality coverlets in Eastern PA. in the 1800's. What a splendid gift this would make or accent to your family room or fire place area! RMB Collectables I work hard on accurate descriptions so you have no surprise purchases. Please read carefully and inspect pictures. Thank you! No International Sales
