Description: For sale here is a vintage school teaching model of GRAPHITE MOLECULAR STRUCTURE Made in the Czech Republic in the 1950's/ 1960's We have been lucky enough recently to meet a dealer in Prague who clears schools and colleges for a living, so we have been fortunate enough to buy several of these fantastic models from him we have multiples of some models but we want to clarify that these are genuine vintage 1960's teaching aids and not reproductions. This fantastic molecular model shows the crystalline form of the element carbon this hexagonal structure is most common form of carbon and forms under normal conditions, at higher temperatures and pressures it will form diamond (which is another model we have for sale in the shop). These models were used in schools to help chemistry students visualize chemical structures. SIZEHeight: 23cmWidth: 30cmDepth: 28cm CONDITIONThe carbon molecules are made from plastic and the bonds are metal.Obviously this item is not new so there is some light cosmetic wear (worn paint) on the molecules and some oxidation on the metal, I have tried to photograph examples of any obvious wear so please do check all photos carefully. These models are fixed and do not come apart. We have many more of these models of various chemical structures, just check the educational models section in our EBay shop to see our selection. Thanks for looking. All items are tracked and insured.
