Description: VINTAGE MCM Hand Painted Italian Ceramic Majolica Fruit Topiary Centerpiece This is an AMAZING VINTAGE handmade and hand painted Italian majolica centerpiece from the 1950s-1960s. The piece is a towering bowl of fruit that have each been molded in Italian porcelain and hand painted in the majolica style to loo very realistic. The piece features oranges, pears, lemons, apples, bananas, apricots, plums, pomegranates and a single tomato. There are also multiple ceramic leaves placed throughout. This piece has openings between some of the fruit, which allows it to be used as a vase as well. If you place a few flowers in each opening and pit a small bowl of water underneath, you have a multi-faceted centerpiece with live flowers and beautifully-painted fruit. This piece is AMAZING in its design and craftsmanship. It is signed "F" on the bottom and has the word "Italy" underneath. It is hollow inside, so it could also be used like a fairy lamp if you put a candle inside. This piece is in EXCELLENT CONDITION!
