Description: Presented today we have a beautiful time aged vintage Neuvex electromechanical day date world time divers watch. This unique hybrid electromechanical watch is powered by a very clean ESA movement from the 1970s. This watch is however not currently running. The balance swings freely and hands & date both set smoothly but it is not running so it is being sold as is for repairs. The base metal chrome case measures 36mm wide without the crown and 42mm lug to lug. It has 18mm wide lugs and a stainless steel case back. All engravings are clear and crisp. There are a few marks from age and use present but nothing outstanding or outside of normal wear. The world time silver and black bezel rotates smoothly in both directions. The acrylic crystal is in very fine shape with minimal wear. Underneath the crystal is the beautifully time worn patinated blue dial. The tropical fade pattern from its years of use gives it a sea like blue glow that just cant be replicated in a modern watch. The original green lume on the square indices is a creamy milky hue as well as the lume on the silver polished hands. The second hand is red in color and gives an extra pop of color offset by the brilliant blue. The date window is at 3oclock and has black print on a white disc. As stated this watch does have a quickset function and that is activated in the crowns 2nd position. While an extremely handy feature, it can also cause issues for novice watch collectors. So as such I feel the need to advise that the qucikset feature not to be used while the hands are showing the hours between 830pm and 3am. Simply advance the hands in time setting mode outside of this time frame and then use the quickset and set the correct time. Using the quick set while the date mechanism is engaged during those hours can cause damage so it is advised to follow the procedure described. All in all with a fresh service I believe this extra clean great looking piece can be a reliable runner for the next owner.
