Description: This vintage 100% Silk designer scarf is signed with a stylized round P inside a box. It has French language care instructions, and was made in Italy. It is a nice heavy weight silk and of true first quality. Earthy tones are used in the design with the border and background a charcoal gray, not black as the photos look a bit darker than the real colors. A very clever trick to the eye makes this pattern appear as a patchwork of loose textured knit squares, when in actual fact the scarf is perfectly smooth. The effect is full of intrigue. Just inside the charcoal gray border is another multi-color border of thin lines in medium blue, brick brown, pink-tan, olive-tan, and light beige. The center of the scarf has squares, each one of a finely composed balance of colored lines to represent highlights and shadows as if the lines were knit threads. Size is about a 26 inch by 25 inch square. Wonderful Scarf !
