Description: VINTAGE FRAMED WATERCOLOR PAINTING MALLARDS HUNTERS MARSH BY NOTED VIRGINIA ARTIST ALFRED FOCA The featured item represents an original watercolor on paper painting by the noted Norfolk / Virginia Beach artist Alfred "AL" William Foca (1937-2018).The artwork measures approximately 20 3/8" x 24 3/4" with the frame. The watercolor is double matted and put behind protective glass. The visible image area is about 12 3/4" x 16 3/4" The painting depicts a scene with mallards in the marsh and two hunters resting by a tree in the water, both smoking pipes, one holding a rifle. The lower right is signed with "Al Foca". The item comes in well-preserved condition for its age. Some scuffs, marks and scratches on the frame but no major damages. I have not examined the watercolor outside of the frame but it appears to be clean with no foxing, staining, rips or tears. No visible cracks on the glass. Looks like the backing board and the hardware are a bit loose as there is a bit of a gap between the glass and the frame. SOLD "AS IS"
