Description: My sister purchased this Mud Men display in Taiwan per her note (last photo, included). There are 8 figures which I believe represent the Eight Immortals. They are gathered on a tree limb and branch, which are on a board covered with deep green velvet. The base measures about 6-5/8" wide by 3-1/2" and the box is about 3-1/2" tall. The box is covered with a red-orange fabric with a floral design, and the plinth is the base of the box the piece comes in. I think the box is handmade because it is not square and has flaws. The piece is a combination of painted and glossy glazed and unglazed clay. What looks like chips on the headdresses are actually unglazed knots. There is also a game board on the left. The tallest figure with plinth is about 3." I am not an expert, but I do not see issues aside from crazing and the production process. Please also use the photos as part of the description. Shipping: I will ship with the box in a large freezer bag with air in a clean recycled box with large cushion bubble wrap. Thank for looking. My best guess:The only female figure holding a lotus (pink dress far right) representing He Xiangu (“the Female Celestial Being”); Cao Guojiu (middle standing in white robe) holding a tablet; Li Tieguai with the cane or crutch and calabash (gourd) (seated far left); Lan Caihe androgynous with a basket of fruit (seated front with green robe); Lü Dongbin dressed in scholar’s robes holding a large sword (the leader, standing highest figure, sword is behind his back); Han Xiangzi holding a flute (seated next to the female figure); Zhang Guolao usually shown riding a white mule (mule not represented); Han Zhongli or Zhongli Quan depicted holding a fan (fan not represented).
