Description: Vintage E.C. Atkins, & Co. No. 53 SilverSteel Ornate Sway Back, Hand Saw, 26.25", Patented. July 7. 1896. Blade has scratches, and marks, from normal use. This saw has been well taken care of. The original ornate wood handle has scratches, and some marks, from normal use. Both wood ears have had some work done to them, at onetime. They look like they were longer to me. All brass pins, and brass screw backs are in very good condition. The writing on the saw blade is faded, but is readable. Blade is extremely sharp. This wood sure look good hung up over a wood shop, or just displayed somehow. This is a fairly rare saw, you don't see a lot them. There is some pitting on blade, probably from moisture, at onetime.
