Description: VTG Political Pins Tabs LBJ Humphrey Stevenson 1956 1964 1968 Democratic Party The current election has many historical references to past Presidential candidates and conventions. LBJ famously decided not to run for a second term in 1968 - some say it is because his health was deteriorating, and others say it was the war in Viet Nam. This pin was from the 1964 election. Also in the news is the upcoming Democratic convention occurring in Chicago in August. The convention in 1968 featured Humphrey & Muskie as VP. This convention was marked with heavy protests and some violence in the streets. Stevenson ran for the office twice, both times losing out to Eisenhower. All three pins/tabs are in good condition & clean. 240725-2
