Description: For auction is a very nice vase made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The vase is from Weller's highly collected and very desirable "Patricia" line of art pottery. This vase is a nice cabinet size at measures 5 5/16" tall and is 5 1/8" in diameter outside Duck heads measurement. The foot has a diameter of 2 5/8".The vase displays a classic swollen shape with an embossed organic leaf and fern pattern in raised relief. It has an outstanding mottled peppered brown over tan background glaze that is quite pleasing. The leaves have a sage green color that shows the green glaze runs to the bottom of the vase. The vase is further embellished with 2 Duck Heads for mock handles. It is easier to handle this vase by sticking you finger down the top hole. The duck heads are very realistic in appearance. The head is the Tan and mottled brown with the beak and the low relief of the eyes being done in a sage green glaze. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The vase is signed with the "Weller" script signature on the underside bottom and is somewhat obscured by the glaze. This pattern is well documented in the Weller catalog and reference books. Those of you who collect Patricia and are looking to add an excellent to outstanding example to their collection do not let this one slip by. This vase is an excellent example of this form and glaze. This vase was made circa 1931-1935. PLEASE READ BELOWI want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy. CLICK ON THIS LINK BELOW TO SEE MY EBAY STORE CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT Please wait for my Invoice before paying.
