Western USA Double Lockback Knife w/Spear & Saw Blades-Unfinished Prototype??

Description: NOTE: First picture shows 6 knives, you are getting ONE for your purchase, there will only be 5 available total, I will keep one for my collection. They are all in unused condition, I will send out the cleanest one first and so on. If you collect old Colorado made Western brand knives, this would make a neat addition and a unique discussion starter amongst your collector friends. This listing is for ONE vintage Western brand knife as shown. This is a 2-blade, double lockback style, manual opening knife. Marked Western, Stainless, USA and on the reverse side marked Patented. I believe this was probably a prototype as there is no date code stamped, the knife has no scales(handles) and the main blade is not finish sharpened. The saw blade looks like it is sharp and it is not marked in anyway that I see. Both blades lock back and lockup tight when open, although it needs a thorough bath in solvent or cleaner an there is crud and machine dust throughout, like it was just put together and not cleaned at all. The main blade unlocks with a firm push, the saw blade locks up, but you have to manually push the back spring to get it to lock, like they staked the pins a bit tight or maybe it just needs cleaning. I purchased these from the family of a former employee who bought some items at the 1991 auction held when Western closed its doors in Colorado and was purchased by Camillus and moved all production to New York. Overall length when open is appx 8-7/8" and closed is appx 5-1/8" with a main blade that is appx 3-13/16" long and weighs in at appx 6 ounces. No sheath is included but will be protected for shipping purposes. Most importanly, please view and enlarge all photos for more detail as I have included Many Photos.
