William McKinley 25th President Assassinated 1901 Signed Mansion Card JSA

Description: William McKinley [1843 1901] was an American politician and American Civil War veteran who served as the 25th president of the United States from 1897 until his assassination in 1901. On September 5, 1901, McKinley delivered a speech at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo New York and was mortally wounded by anarchist Leon Czolgosz. The president survived for eight days and died on September 14, 1901. Listed for auction is a framed display which contains the authenticated autograph of President William McKinley. The autograph is signed on an Executive Mansion, Washington card, ''William McKinley'' in black fountain pen and the autograph is bold and displays nicely. The card measures 4.25 x 2.75 inches, with trivial toning otherwise in fine condition. The display has been centered around a great color portrait of the president, and mounted below is an engraved plaque, ''The 25th President of the United States of America. William McKinley ''Patriotism, Protection, and Prosperity'' January 29, 1843 - September 14, 1901''. The display is double matted in an outer black suede and accented with an inner silver matte and completed in a quality silver wood frame to the dimensions of 22.00 x 16.00 inches. The display is very attractive, the autograph is signed on a desirable Executive Mansion card and will be a great addition to any collection.
