Description: This is a WWIl US Army M2 magnetic compass made by Kalart Company. The compass is in good serviceable condition. There are minor scratches and scuff marks on the exterior. Most of the finish remains though, some of the brass and hardware has tarnished. Inside metal has a little bit of rust and some of the finish is coming off. Glass and mirror have some scuff marks and possibly some kind of residue? Hinge works fine and compass stays open or closed when moved. The case included here is a plastic one with a belt loop. The case does not stay closed- seems to be missing a clasp, I am including it because it protects the compass well for shipping. Compass approximately 2 3/4" x 3" closed / 2 3/4" x 6" open.
